Description:
The Pharmacist of Record is primarily responsible for maintaining pharmacy records, liaising with the DAIDS Pharmaceutical Affairs Branch (PAB) and Pharmaceutical Shipping, and fulfilling all requirements of the DAIDS Pharmacy Establishment Plan.
Responsibilities:
A pharmacist is responsible for developing and managing an investigational agent control system, including procedures for ordering, controlling, dispensing, and tracking these agents.
They establish internal policies for their safe use, handle daily dispensing and accountability tasks, and prepare regulatory documents for the import of pharmaceuticals in collaboration with the PI and CRS Coordinator.
Additionally, they hire and supervise pharmacy assistants as needed and assist research nurses with adherence counseling.
